Dear Sandra,

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband Arthur. My parents (Armin and Mildred Friedman) were close friends of your parents (Sam and Lillian) when we all lived on the south side. I have fond memories of your mother’s wonderful pastries, and I remember working at ADCOTE (?) chemical plant under your father’s tutelage. I still have the tools that you delivered to my home on Luella for my birthday. I also remember delivering holiday goodies to your apartment on Yates(?). And my wife still uses the casserole dish which your mother gave to her as a shower gift. Best wishes to you and your family for a happy New Year.
